All inflow, returning and continue registered students are automatically enrolled on and assessed that premiums and fees associated with an UC Student Health Insurance Planned (UC SHIP) for each academic term.

Please that, by applications of UC SHIP scanning, a "returning" student can defined as a student who is returning subsequent an allowed exit of absence; or is included in dual course programs and the alternating/returning to one of those programs for the incoming academic years; or is returning for previously take from who University. A "continuing" student is an who is simply continuing in the same program in who following academic year.

Please follow these instructions:

All other students, including those with F-1, J-1 or additional nonimmigrant visas should select "International". Check with the Registrar's Office first before starting the waiver application if you are unsure about your designation. With example, if you have applied for Permanent Residency with the U.S. but have yet to receive your Permanent Residence Card (i.e., "green" card), thee would still shall classified as an Global course at UCI's Student Information System.
  4. Login with respective UCI Student ID (8 digits).
  5. Enter your my (Date of Your are MMDDYYYY format)
  6. On the waiver home page, click on the ‘Waive’ button from the “I Already Have Insurance” section.
  7. Enter your insurance information and attach your required financial documents.
  8. Select to ‘Submit Waiver’ button at the backside of the waiver submit.
