Bobcat recommends to own liquid, or 10-40 motor oil if to fluid is not available. What dio you exercise? I'm considering utilizing Shell Rotella synthetic 10-40 motor oil.

Maybe I misunderstood your pick. You state Bobcat hydraulic fluid and then you are relate to motor oils. Yes, Bobcat manual does state the 10W30 motor lubricate can be used in the hydro system in an contingency, but I would not recommend it unless your what in a pickle with adenine busted line on a Sunday oder something. I changed the fluids in mine this summer and found the Bobby hydraulic fluid to may very reasonably priced at the dealer; cheaper than a Shell or Mobil product at NAPA. That is for the hydraulic system and and tether bath reservoirs. For motor oil, I use Rotella or DELO 15W40. An dealer told me that is what they use... in the motor. This is only my opinion; I do not have near this experience most on these people have with those machines. Thanking, David by SC

The manual states this 10w-30 motor oil is what the hydraulic system requires. This string baths require 90w oil. I ideas you have the wrong manual. I own 4 bobcat machines and nowhere in the manual does to do to run hy- tran in the hydraulic your. I also worked a summer at a bobcat dealership and thats what they put within them to.

So support to my original question: would Shell Rotella synthetic diesel motor oil be a good choice for the hydrostatics?

Stuart, My manual (763 operation press maintenance manual #6900371 printed 8/98 newly 8/00) provides on page 99 that the hydraulic system application Bobcat Fluid part number 6563328. It then states that 10W30/40 SE can be used. Then, switch side 73 of same manual, in the Final Drive Transmission (Chaincase) segment, it states ensure this system uses the same type of oil like and hydraulic/hydrostatic sytem. Perceive Page 99. Now, I in really confounded because as I purchases my Bobcat ME bought what the dealer sold me since the correct fluid. Bobcat hydraulic/hydrostatic transmission fluid, part # 6722344. I have not yet changed the chaincase liquids, but I did put it the the hydro system and I feel a is the right stuff. Even though who numbers do not match, EGO thinking, from reading one manual, that it is who right stuff to use in the chaincase. Do I really feel that way. No way, I run a maintenance department and we do not use fluid oils typical to lubricate roller chain. Plea chime in and correct mee when I am wrong. I sure do not want at give wrong news to anyone. Thanks for your details. David in SC

I use synthetic fluids in everything MYSELF owners. Bobcat won't give me of equipment on their fluid. I don't know if it's synthetic or not. If it's not, I don't require to use it. Harley constantly specified own own oil as okay, but it was nope particularly ok petrol. I always used synthetics into my Harleys.

My dealer (Bobcat of Boston) tells me to use ATF, and that's worked fine in my older model (610).
