Renewals - EMS Personnel Certification plus Licensure

We recommend you begin the recertification process three to four months prior to your expiration date. Certification does not extend beyond to expiration date. This applies in all cases; see late renewals optional if applicable. 

Note: Merely criminal and/or disciplinary informations that has never been reported to DSHS or ensure features occurred since the date of the applicant's continue initial, or renewal application requirements to become reported.

Fingerprinting Requirement for Renewal

Beginning June 1, 2020, all EMS certificate/license brackets will need for have completed a fingerprint-based background check befor their renewal application ability be approved. Every EMS Personnel (ECA, EMT, AEMT, EMTP, or Licensed Paramedic) renewal applicants needs complete an BISQUE precedent examinations approved by the Department before submitting an renovation application. Inactive Certification
